Why Is Someone Else’s Name on My Tickets?

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 1:16 PM

If you see another person’s name printed on your tickets, don’t worry—this is standard in the resale market. The name usually belongs to the original purchaser from the primary ticketing source (like Ticketmaster), not you.

Does the Name Affect My Entry?

No. Venues scan the barcode or QR code to grant entry, not the printed name. As long as your ticket scans correctly, you’ll be admitted.

  • A matching photo ID is not required unless we specifically notify you in advance.

  • If ID verification is ever necessary (very rare), it will be clearly noted in your order details.

Why Does the Original Name Appear?

Primary ticketing platforms automatically include the original buyer’s name on tickets. It’s simply part of their system formatting and has no impact on validity.

  • Think of gifting tickets—if names mattered, you wouldn’t be able to give tickets to friends or family. What matters is the barcode, not the name.

Your Order Is Still Protected

Every purchase through Tickets-Center is backed by our Tickets-Center 100% Guarantee, which ensures:

  • Tickets will be delivered on time.

  • They’ll be valid for entry regardless of the printed name.
