Why Is the Price on My Ticket Different From What I Paid?

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 1:16 PM

It’s common for the printed price on a ticket to be different from what you paid through Tickets-Center. This difference comes from how tickets are sold in the primary market versus the secondary market.

Primary vs. Secondary Pricing

  • Face Value – The original price set by the venue, team, or event organizer. This may be printed directly on the ticket.

  • Market Value – The live resale price set by licensed independent sellers on the secondary market. Prices can be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand, seat location, and event availability.

Since Tickets-Center operates in a real-time resale marketplace, sellers list tickets at current market prices, not at the original face value.

Does the Printed Price Matter?

Not at all. Venues only scan the barcode or QR code for entry—the printed price has no effect on whether your ticket is valid.

Clear Pricing Upfront

At checkout, you’ll always see the full price (including service fees) before placing your order. There are no hidden charges, so you’ll know exactly what you’re paying.

Our Commitment

Tickets-Center provides a secure, transparent marketplace where you can choose tickets that fit your preferences—whether that’s the best value or the best view.
