Accessing Tickets in the MLB Ballpark App

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 1:19 PM

If your tickets were sent through the MLB Ballpark App, follow these steps to accept and view them on your phone before game day.

1. Check your email (or go straight to the app)

After the seller sends your tickets, you’ll usually receive an email from:

Subject lines may say things like:

  • “You have just been forwarded [Team Name] tickets…”

  • “Congratulations, [First Name]…”

Inside, look for a "Access Tickets" button — click or tap it to sign in and accept your tickets.

  • Already have the app set up with the same email from your order? Skip the email and open the app — your tickets should appear automatically after logging in.

2. Download the MLB Ballpark App

Get it for free from the App Store or Google Play.
This is the official app for viewing and scanning your tickets at the stadium.

3. Sign in or create an account

Use the same email address you used at checkout on our site.

Sign-in options:

  • Send Me an Email to Log In → One-time link sent to your inbox

  • Log In with Password → Use your MLB account credentials

First time? Tap Sign Up and follow the prompts to create your account.

4. Verify your email

Before your tickets appear, you must verify your account:

  • Look for an email from MLB.com with the subject “Verify your email address”.

  • Tap Verify Email to complete registration.

Tickets will not appear until this step is done.

5. View and prepare your tickets

Once verified:

  1. Open the MLB Ballpark App.

  2. Tap the Tickets icon at the bottom.

  3. If tickets don’t appear right away, wait 5–10 minutes and tap Refresh.

  4. Add tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet if available.

No barcode after adding to your wallet?
That’s normal — MLB uses mobile-only tickets that may not show a barcode in your wallet. They’ll still scan at the gate.

  • It may say "Hold Near Reader".

Game Day Tips

  • Use the same phone to log in and present tickets.

  • Save tickets to your wallet in advance in case cell service is spotty.

  • Barcodes can only be viewed in the mobile app, not on desktop.
