How do mobile tickets work compared to other delivery methods?

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 1:18 PM

If your order uses mobile ticket delivery, your tickets will live on your phone — no printing, no shipping. This guide will walk you through what makes them different from other delivery types and how to get ready for entry.

What Are Mobile Tickets?

  • Delivered electronically, not physically.

  • Stored in your ticketing account or the venue’s app (like Ticketmaster or AXS).

  • May display as:

    • A rotating barcode

    • A static QR code

    • A SafeTix/NFC pass with no visible barcode

  • QR codes may not be available right away. Some event organizers release them closer to showtime.

Important: Mobile tickets cannot be printed. You’ll scan directly from your phone at the gate.

How They Compare to Other Delivery Methods

Mobile Delivery

  • Accessed from your phone after logging into your account.

  • Requires your smartphone at entry.

Print-at-Home

  • Sent as a PDF by email.

  • Must be printed clearly before the event.

Shipped Tickets (Hardstock)

  • Physical ticket or wristband sent to your address.

  • Bring the original item to the venue.

Tips for a Smooth Mobile Ticket Experience

  • Add your ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet if available.

  • Fully charge your phone before leaving.

  • Turn your screen brightness up for scanning.

  • Open your ticket ahead of time — this is helpful if cell service is weak.

  • Use the same email at login as you used when placing your order.
