Will My Seats Be Together?

Modified on Mon, 25 Aug at 1:14 PM

When you purchase through Tickets-Center, standard listings are always for seats that are side by side in the same row. You can book with confidence knowing your group will be seated together unless the listing specifically says otherwise.

Situations Where Seating Works Differently

Piggyback Seating
Occasionally, a seller will list tickets that are one directly behind the other rather than side by side (for example, Row A Seat 1 and Row B Seat 1). These are still considered grouped, but they’ll be in consecutive rows instead of the same row.

Zone Listing Orders (5 or More Seats)
For Zone listings with 5+ tickets, sellers may provide tickets in smaller consecutive blocks (like 3 seats together + 2 seats together). This ensures your group remains close together in the same section, even if not all in one row.

Odd/Even Numbering in Theaters
Some theaters use odd/even numbering, which can look confusing at first glance. Don’t worry—Seats 1, 3, and 5 are still next to each other; the numbering system is simply part of the venue’s design.

Quick Tips Before You Purchase

  • Look for special notes on the listing if you’re buying a large group of tickets.

  • Double-check whether the listing mentions piggyback or split groups.

  • If no notes are listed, your tickets will be side by side.
